I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure at the age of 28yrs, just 12 months after getting married. The diagnosis was based on blood tests taken over a 12 month period and were confirmed by a specialist. My menstrual cycle had been abnormal for approximately 12 months and I thought the blood tests and the cycle abnormalities were largely due to the stress of arranging the wedding, followed by an intensive and extremely stressful job in recruitment services but I could not argue with medical experts. I also had high blood pressure at this time.
 
I decided to quit my job and began a course of acupuncture treatments with Lynda Wharton, whom I had researched myself and found to be the only acupuncturist in my region who specialised in women care and in particular menstrual cycle problems and fertility.
 
I was seeing Lynda for weekly, then fortnightly, then monthly acupuncture over a 6 month period and began working again after 4 months. My menstrual cycle started to improve within the first cycle after initial acupuncture treatment and although my new job was a little stressful, I continued and my menstrual cycles began to normalise over the following months.
 
Six months after beginning to work again and approximately 10 months after being diagnosed with premature ovarian failure I became pregnant with identical twins the natural way. My twin daughters are now 15 months old and I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with the next little bub whom I fell pregnant with almost immediately upon trying. So much for not having any eggs left as was predicted by more than one specialist.
 
My husband and I agree that without the acupuncture, my body may never have returned to normal and I would never have fallen pregnant in the first place. Having an acupuncturist who specialising in women care and how the menstrual and blood flow works was definately what saved my body and allowed me to get back to my normal healthy self.
 
Thank you Lynda for seeing me through such a terrible and heartbreaking time and helping my body to heal from the inside out. My entire family owe you a big thank you.
